Coffee and Coconut Oil Facial Scrub

Hiya!

There are a lot of natural things you can do at home. I absolutely enjoy homemade remedies. Do you?

As I get older, I am more cautious with what products I use on my body. I try to get enough super foods that nourish my sensitive skin. What you put on your skin gets absorbed into your body so a natural and clean diet would be a waste of time if you are covering your body with toxins and chemicals.

I believe "If you would not consume it, don't put it on your skin."

Here's a simple inexpensive facial scrub that exfoliates, nourishes the skin, unclogs pores, and allows the skin to breathe, leaving you with a radiant, glowing complexion.

Ingredients:

½ teaspoon coconut oil ½ teaspoon ground coffee beans

Directions:

Mix all ingredients together and apply sparingly to face using circular motions. Let sit for about 15 minutes. Try to avoid the mixture getting in your eyes. Remove with warm wash cloth.

Use this scrub 2-3 times a week. I recommend using the scrub about once a week, if you have naturally oily skin.

A little information about coffee:

Coffee is a rich source of antioxidants that protects our skin against free radicals that damage and age us.

The caffeine in coffee stimulates the skin and improves blood flow to the face.Coffee can increase circulation and help break down fat when used topically.

Coffee can help fight free radicals and slow the aging process due to DNA damage.

So don't feel guilty, enjoy that cup of coffee!

A little information about coconut oil:

One of the best things about using coconut oil for skincare is that it suits all skin types. It’s deeply nourishing to the skin and loaded with protective antioxidants that protect the skin against premature aging and free radicals. It’s also antibacterial, antimicrobial and anti-fungal, making it a great choice for acne prone skin.

Take note:

Caffeine can actually enter your body through the skin, so if you have a sensitivity or high blood pressure, you might want to use a coffee scrub sparingly and check with your doctor before trying the coffee scrub.

Caffeine can provide various benefits for your skin, hair and health.

However, this is only possible with the right dosage of caffeine. Excessive intake of caffeine has been reported to cause adverse effects on your health. Moreover, some individuals are sensitive to caffeine, and they are required to restrict its consumption or completely avoid it.
